TMPro2 works with eeprom immobilizer dumps. You need to have electronic knowledge and know how to use soldering tools and memory device programmers. It is your choice which programmer you will use to read the memory devices – TMPro2 memory device programmer or any other programmer. In order to program the transponder, you have to remove the immobox/BSI/UCH unit from the car, open it, remove the memory device or solder the wires on the test points, and read it. Depending on the car memory device, the eeprom can be serial, Motorola MCU, Microchip PIC MCU, ST10F269 MCU, Texas Instruments MCU etc… The next step is to program the transponder. The last step is to solder the memory device back, reassemble the immobox/BSI/UCH and put it back into the car.
Working with TMPro2 is easy. You need to have some electronic knowledge and equipment, such as a soldering iron, a hot air gun, a multimeter, etc. You also need to know which module contains the basic data, and its location in the car. Remove the module from the car, open it and locate the memory device. For some modules, it is easy to access the memory device, but for other modules it is not so easy – you have to cut a hole, drill out the silicone, etc.
Once the type of memory device is clear, you need to see how you can read/write it.
For 70% of software, Memory devices can be read and written either by TMPro2 or by another programmer.
For 5% of programs, Reading and writing are Mandatory Using TMPro2.
For 25% of programs Reading and writing to memory devices must use another programmer.
The memory device depends on the unit that contains the basic data. The memory device can be:
- serial eeprom All supported versions are 93cXX, 24cXX, 25/95cXXX, X5328, S29190, X24c01, 95p08. To read or write serial eeprom messages, you have to desolder them from the board and solder them to the TMPro2 eeprom adapter. The adapter has sockets for three different types – DIL, SMD and SSOP.
– Motorola 912/9S12 Unlocked, ST10F269 or Moric To read or write this MCU, you need to use a cable with 8 stripped wires. Solder the wires according to the connection diagram of a specific program.
- Motorola HC805P18 To read or write this Motorola, you must use the TMPro2 Motorola HC805P18 adapter. Remove the MCU from the immobox and solder it to the adapter.
– chip approval To read or write Microchip PIC, you must use TMPro2 PIC adapter. Solder the wires according to the connection diagram of a specific program.
To connect the adapters to the TMPro2, you must use a cable for the adapters.
– Motorola HC05/HC908/HC11, Motorola 9S12 Unlocked, Flash Chip, TMS370C702 To read or write these memory devices you need to use another programmer.
Note: It is inclusion Microchip PIC adapter, eeprom adapter and 8-wire stripped cable And cable for transformers In the basic set of TMPro2.
Note: Motorola HC805P18 Adapter Not included in the TMPro2 basic kit. You can purchase it with the basic kit or at a later date.
After completing all the connections You have to press the Select and Read Memory Device button, choose the correct memory device and then press OK To process the reading. After you finish reading, if you wish, you can save the read file to your archive.
If you use another programmer to read and write memory devices, after the memory device is read and the file is saved by your programmer, you have to load this file into TMPro2 by clicking the Open File button.
