2. ECU Programming and ECU Coding:

Autel MS908S Pro diagnostic scanner comes with J2534 ECU programming device and BMW Ethernet cable (for F series coding and programming), it is able to replace existing software/firmware in electronic control units (ECU), program new Benz/BMW ECUs, fix software-controlled drivability issues and emission problems, update on-board computer software to the latest version.

1. Coding: Also known as teaching software, component adaptation, or something similar, is used to reprogram adaptive data for vehicle control units after vehicle parts are repaired or replaced.
2. Reprogramming operations: downloading the new version of the software subscription from the online server database via Internet access (this procedure is done automatically when the tablet is connected to the Internet, so there is no need to check the software subscriptions yourself), and reprogramming the latest software version into the vehicle's ECU.

Note:

• Make sure the tablet is connected to the Internet before applying the ECU programming function so that the tablet can access the manufacturer's server for the update service.
• ECU programming only for BMW/Mercedes Benz vehicles
  The programming function can only be applied by connecting to the J2534 programming device, which acts as a PassThru interface to establish communication with the vehicle's ECU and transfer data to it. The programming or coding operations available vary depending on the test vehicle, and only the available operations are displayed in the list.
