The CB030 cable is designed for direct connection on the platform to the engine control units of the BOSCH MD1 and MG1 types in Mercedes-Benz vehicles and trucks.
The cable is useful for bench diagnostic purposes, and of course for FLASH/DFLASH programming using the EP003 function of the Abrites ECU programming tool.
With the MN032 FBS4 Manager license, you can personalize, customize and extract customization data from MD1 and MG1 ECUs via the CB030 cable.
CB030 has two matching connectors with different connectors for MG and MD ECUs. One connector is specially designed for MD type ECUs, the other for MG type ECUs. Be careful and make sure to connect the correct type of connector to the ECU (MD or MG) to avoid ECU malfunction.
To complete the procedure, you can either use the Abrites ZN051 distribution box or connect directly to the AVDI. When using the DS-BOX, connect the DB25 connector and the DB15 connector of the CB030 to the DS-BOX. When using the direct connection to the AVDI, connect the DB25 connector of the CB030 to the AVDI, and the DB15 connector of the CB030 to the black DB15 adapter with ignition switch. This adapter is then connected to a 12V power source via a DC connector, the ZN074 is ideal for this purpose.
AVDI with active AMS is required to complete the procedure.
