It takes about 13 minutes to make a 2004 W203 spare key when you start programming a new key. Read NEC pass key by IR and calculate PSW key still works after getting PSW.
Tested with W209 on bench as key add: 15 min done. Tried all keys lost, failed. But a friend working with W209 succeeds in PSW by IR without gayeway
W246 2014 FSB3: Add key successfully in 15 minutes
W219 2008: Add key also 15 min ok
W221 2008 with v57 key from Japan: Add key success after 30 minutes, get PSW in 2è load.
W221 2010 facelift works too
2007 w221 from japan: add key on bench, got good pass and very fast for 10 min

Frequently Asked Questions about CGDI MB Key Programmer:

Q1: Do you need to know more information about the yellow cable, for kline but where is it connected when using obdii and when using it on bdm?
A1: When using OBD, you need to disconnect the ESL connector and find the K-line pin to connect the yellow clip. When using on the seat: find the EZS-ELV wires and connect the clip to the kline pin

Q2: What about mileage correction (reset to 0)? vvdi vs cgdi
A2: CGDI can show miles from EZS, new software out, updated

Q3: When we have a CGDI tool that is all OBD powered, why would the boys want the tool to work on the bench???
A3: For example, if the car is a bit far from the workshop and you have to spend time driving to the car or the customer is too far to drive, so he can send the EIS or drive himself to bring the EIS with him to the workshop. Time and what if the tool does not work via OBD? You will lose a lot of time driving eg. 30 miles x 2. If you have a seat, you can work at your place without risking wasting time. Also calculating psw at the car place can take 30 minutes, 1 hour in all lost keys? Time to sit in the car + you have to take care of the battery charger. If you have a seat, you can drink coffee or beer if you want and enjoy the waiting time. Still no tool can do all merc by OBD anyway.
