Several years ago, we decided that we needed a new type of hardware that would allow us to pursue functions that were either impossible or would be very difficult to achieve with the current set of programmers. After many iterations, we were finally satisfied with the hardware and the possibilities it offered us.

The Barracuda programmer from Scorpio-LK is a new platform that aims to complement the Tango programmer in our quest to launch powerful solutions for locksmiths and users involved in auto repair and vehicle maintenance.

Barracuda will not replace Tango or Orange-5, and functionality previously released on these programmers will not be implemented in Barracuda.

The first branch of Barracuda programmer features that will be available upon release and will be included in the base software is the reset/renewal of used HITAG based car keys.

Every reset function released in the Barracuda programmer is independently developed, tested and digitally signed.

Like Tango, Barracuda is a long-term project. We have already started developing and implementing new features that will be released through upcoming Barracuda online updates. The new features will be modular, some will be included in the core software, and some will require additional activation.
